There probably is no easy answer to this question. With the economy in such bad shape, many Americans have bad credit as you have described yourself as having. Maybe go to a credit union and explain your situation, maybe if your son hasn't already done so, pay off his debt with a credit union quick loan. If all else fails, contact your local better business association, and see if you qualify for any loans or grants for new small businesses. As a last ditch effort, you might just apply to work for a local videographer or even try to partner with someone that has good credit. Best of luck.
