how is an associates degree different from a bachelor degree

I'm attempting to get financial help to receive a law degree. I'm interested in field work. Whether its for the FBI or Homeland Security, one or the other, but I had this question about degrees, so it would be very helpful to understand the answer.

An associate's degree is a two-year degree. A bachelor's is a four-year degree. If you want a law degree you will need to get a bachelor's first, and then apply to law schools.
