Question

hey is there such a thing as venture capitalist degree?

A few months back i opted to gaining working experience in business over completing my bachelor degree in law (Australia). I inherited controlling shares in a few aerospace MRO and manufacturing companies from my father. He recently decided to partially retire. Hence i made a lifechanging decision, wihich was put my law degree aside and focusing on gaining knowledge through work.

However now i would like to obtain a degree in business. Especially in venture capital.

I'm not aware of VC degrees in the United States, however, I recently came across a program offered by the University of California, Berkeley. It's called the "Venture Capital Executive Program." The program costs $6850 and begins on November 20, 2009. Another session is forming for 2010. To lean more about the objectives of this program, see here: http://executive.berkeley.e..

I am not aware of such a degree either as the earlier respondent mentioned. I do know however, as a Bachelor of Science degree holder, that there is a specialization called entrepreneurship. Some people equate entrepreneurship with venture capital, while one is about creating businesses and the other is more about funding business ventures. Good luck!
