Finding such precise information is near impossible. You can always check if there is a state/province/country association but your best bet is just jotting down a few questions and go ask the shops.

First hand answers are the best. Up-to-date and you will be able to ajust your questions according to the answers that you'll get.

Since this question is in the "startup" category, if you plan to be part of the competition of those guys, be honest about it. 3 things can come out of it. They'll try to discourage you from going forward with your project, in which case you'll get a bundle of information about things you'll have to overcome to succeed, second you might get in a joint venture situation or third they won't answers anything. Even the last one is good because it means that they are insecure in some aspect of their business.

Same goes if you intend to be a supplier to those guys. Get a few letters of intention from people who will buy from you or even better, genuine orders for parts or service. These, by the way, beat business plans hands down when it comes to getting money from the bank....
