I'm assuming you're asking because you have a fire/mold/water remediation issue and are looking for a company to help save some of your stuff. Here's some advice I got from a friend whose dad's house was badly damaged in last year's fire in Montecito, California.
According to her, your best bet is to work with whichever remediation company your insurer has a relationship. That way, at least you know the bills will be paid. The processes themselves to remove the fire/water/mold damage are imperfect, and regardless of how competent or incompetent the remediation company is, you will likely end up having to throw out some of the items they try to save. Not the sunniest outlook, but she's speaking from experience.
That said, some of the Yelp reviews of 911restoration in San Francisco are not great, although it may be particular to that location; see the link below.
