Thnking of outsourcing web design

We need to update out website, but we can't afford US designers/developers. Has anyone used a developer based overseas?

There's so much information on the web about outsorcing. I wouldn't know here to begin. Have you tried your professional association? It might recommend a couple of companies.

I don't know about all of the issues involved dealing with the country where you're thinking about hiring out work to.

But I would think about what exactly you're trying to do. If it will take you 100 hours to explain what you want and it would take only 150 hours to do it in house, then that doesn't seem like such a good value.

OTOH, if you can explain the job in less than 2 hours and the job requires 200 hours, then outsourcing seems to make a lot more sense.
