Terms and conditions for payments on wholesale orders

Would like to know what is normal procedure for payment if someone places an order for our olive oil. Are all new orders payment in advance of shipment? How does one approve a new company for credit and begin to allow them 30 day payment priviledges?

Our terms can be found on our wholesale page of our website and may be downloaded they are listed on invoices as well. It is important to have your terms well posted. When a customer has established a relationship with you and then asks for terms you have the option of net 15 or net 30 terms.

If you are working with large volume customers it may be in your best interest to stick with net 15. Most distributors do not offer more than that. We do not entertain the notion of giving terms until we have had several orders from the customer. If an order is custom we still get a 50% deposit and will bill terms on the balance.

Many companies will have prepared references, we ask them to fill out our form which requires both faxes and e-mails. Having a reference in writing makes a difference. Very ofthen the pre prepared forms are outdated and you will find calling very time consuming. We do not offer terms until we have three written responses that are positive.

If you would like to see our credit refernce form you are welcome to e-mail me and I will forward it to you.

Best of luck.
