There should be a US Consul in Basra. They can surely assist you with processes and forms. I'd expect you should be able to arrange things at home, no need to travel. I'm sure there will be a trade person there.

You may want to look into an attorney or Manufacturer's rep in the States. Internet searches will get you lots of leads there.
