How to deal with employee who is DRIVING ME NUTS?

One of my employees was going on and on about someone wearing perfume in the office and how it makes her sick. Jeez - now do I have to regulate perfume wearing? Seriously… what do I do about this?

people who are allergic to fragrances can sue under the Americans With Disabilities Act. Be careful! You might want to get a letter from her doctor so you can evaluate the problem. Her right to breathe probably trumps other people's right to wear fragrance.

Here are some ideas that could work. Sounds like a policy will help. Accommodation Ideas: • Maintain good indoor air quality • Discontinue the use of fragranced products • Modify workstation location • Provide an air purification system • Modify or create a fragrance-free workplace policy
