How do I deal with an uncooperative credit-reporting bureau?
I attempted to obtain my annual free report from all three credit reporting bureaus through AnnualCreditReport[dot]com. I obtained my reports from Experian and Trans-Union, but Equifax insists that I received my report form them in May of this year -- when in fact, the last credit report I received from Equifax is dated March 20, 2008 and I have NO RECORD of contacting Equifax after that date until today. All attempts to contact Equifax to resolve this issue -- both by telephone and online -- have been unsuccessful. How do I resolve this problem? I'm not willing to pay Equifax $&.95 for an annual report that I am entitled by law to receive free of charge.
