Hi,What sort of a visa do I require to buy a property in Margarita island? I am in the UK.

I have been advised that I cannot buy on just a tourist visa & that I need to apply for a transient type visa from the Venezuelan embassy. I have contacted the embassy & they told me that my lawyer will advise me on what is required ie an investor or business type.
As I have not started the buying process yet, I do not have a current lawyer, but before I make an offer on a property I need to know what is required as I have read that a transient visa application can be a lengthy process.
